“Leòn” is Leon van der Zanden’s fourth solo show in which he frees himself from everything that is keeping him under its control,his childhood, women, his mother, the Pentecostal Church and death. It is an inner conflict between the loser and the player, mankind and its fate, between the comedian and his audience. His weapons are fast jokes, expressive mimicry, a limber body and a lot of self-mockery. Leon triggers you to join him in this emotional rollercoaster with an immortal moment as possible outcome. “Unlike many contemporaries, Leon van der Zanden has actually something to say.” (AD).
